On the western side of the Eyre Peninsula, Coffin Bay National Park is a wild, windswept wonderland of limestone cliffs, pristine white beaches, and turquoise waters. This is South Australia’s best-kept coastal secret — a place where you can have an entire beach to yourself, spot kangaroos bounding across dunes, and watch the sun set over the Great Australian Bight. The park is raw, remote, and utterly captivating.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Dedicate a full day to explore the park properly. If you have a 4WD, you can easily spend two days camping at one of the basic campgrounds (like Yangie Bay or Black Springs) and really soak up the solitude. For a quick visit, the Sensation Walk and a drive to Yangie Bay can be done in half a day, but you’ll be tempted to stay longer.
