Perched high on the escarpment above Port Macquarie, Sealy Lookout delivers one of the most breathtaking panoramas on the Mid North Coast. From this elevated vantage point, the entire sweep of the coast unfolds before you: the turquoise Pacific, the curve of Lighthouse Beach, and the lush green canopy of the surrounding national park. It's a spot that rewards early risers and sunset seekers alike, and it also serves as the gateway to some of the region's finest bushwalks.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Allocate at least half a day to fully appreciate the area. Start at the lookout for sunrise or late afternoon to catch the golden light and avoid the midday heat. Then combine a visit to the Koala Hospital (allow 45 minutes) with a stroll on the Sea Acres boardwalk (1–1.5 hours). If you're keen on hiking, add another 1–2 hours for the Coastal Walk or a section of the Kattang Track. It's easily combined into a day trip from Port Macquarie's town centre, just a 10-minute drive away.
