Bill Beach is a long, sweeping stretch of golden sand on the northern side of the Hastings River mouth, just a few minutes' drive from Port Macquarie's town centre. Protected by the breakwall and offering calm, patrolled waters, it's a favourite for families, swimmers, and those seeking a classic North Coast beach experience without the crowds. The beach is backed by low dunes and coastal scrub, with views across to the lighthouse and the rocky headland at the river entrance.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Most visitors spend a couple of hours swimming, sunbaking, or walking the breakwall. If you're combining it with a picnic or a longer coastal stroll, half a day is ideal. Bill Beach is also an easy add-on to a morning exploring Port Macquarie's town centre or the Koala Hospital.
