Gloucester National Park is a lush pocket of Gondwana rainforest in the Barrington Tops region of New South Wales. Centred on the mighty Gloucester River, this park offers a cool, green escape with spectacular waterfalls, ancient trees and excellent bushwalking. It's a World Heritage-listed site, part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia, and feels a world away from the coastal hustle.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Most visitors find a full day sufficient to explore the main highlights – the Gloucester Falls walk, the Tops Circuit and a riverside picnic. If you're keen on hiking the longer trails (like the Gloucester River Walk to the falls), plan for a full day plus an overnight camp. For a relaxed visit, combine the short walks and a swim, allowing 3–4 hours. The park is compact and easy to navigate, so you won't waste time driving between sites.
