Costa Teguise

Costa Teguise is a purpose-built resort on Lanzarote’s east coast, designed by local artist César Manrique to blend seamlessly with the volcanic landscape. Its wide, palm-fringed boulevards, whitewashed buildings, and golden beaches create a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere, yet it retains a distinctly Canarian character. The resort is known for its water sports, especially windsurfing at the famous Cucharas beach, and offers a low-key alternative to the busier Playa del Carmen.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Two to three days is enough to enjoy Costa Teguise’s beaches, water sports, and nearby attractions. Spend your first day relaxing on Playa de las Cucharas and exploring the Pueblo Marinero. On day two, visit the Jardín de Cactus and perhaps the nearby Teguise town (market on Sundays) or the volcanic landscapes of Timanfaya National Park. A third day can be dedicated to water sports or a day trip to the neighbouring island of La Graciosa.
