Coalseam Conservation Park, a pocket of wildflower wonderland in Western Australia's northern wheatbelt, offers a vivid collision of colour and history. Come in late winter and spring to see the park's famous carpets of everlastings – pink, white and yellow daisies that blanket the rolling hills. It's a place where the red earth meets brilliant blooms, and where the past whispers from old coal mines and Aboriginal sites.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

A half-day is ample to soak up the park's highlights – drive the loop, take the short lookout walk, and picnic by the river. If you're a keen wildflower enthusiast or photographer, allow a full day to explore the trails at leisure. The park is best visited between August and October; outside this window the wildflowers are absent and the landscape is more subdued.
