Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Allow 1.5–2 hours if you’re just visiting the lighthouse and doing a short walk. To include the penguin viewing at sunset, plan for 3–4 hours – arrive in the late afternoon, explore the museum and walk, then settle in for the penguin show. It’s a half-day trip from Launceston (45 minutes drive) and works well as a stop on a Tamar Valley wine tour.
