Corroboree Rock Conservation Area, just east of Alice Springs, is a striking dolomite outcrop that rises abruptly from the desert plain. This sacred site for the Arrernte people is named after the corroboree (ceremonial gathering) held here, and its layered rock formations and surrounding spinifex grasslands offer a quiet, contemplative experience away from the crowds.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Plan for 30–45 minutes to walk the loop and absorb the atmosphere. This is a quick stop rather than a full-day destination – ideal to break up a drive along the Lasseter Highway or as a short detour from Alice Springs. Combine with nearby sites for a half-day exploration.
