Pink Beach, also known as Pantai Merah, is a breathtaking stretch of powdery pink sand on Komodo Island, part of Indonesia’s Komodo National Park. The rosy hue comes from microscopic organisms called Foraminifera that produce a red pigment on the coral reefs, mixing with the white sand to create this natural wonder. This remote beach offers crystal-clear turquoise waters, vibrant marine life, and a sense of untouched paradise that makes every traveler feel like an explorer.

Highlights & What to See

Suggested Time to Spend

Most visitors spend half a day at Pink Beach, arriving by boat from Labuan Bajo (about 1–2 hours). A typical itinerary includes a morning snorkel session, a relaxing lunch on the beach, and a short hike to a viewpoint. For a more immersive experience, some tour operators offer overnight camping on the beach, allowing you to enjoy the starry skies and early morning solitude. If you’re combining with a Komodo dragon trek, plan a full-day trip from Labuan Bajo.
