Most visitors spend 2–3 days in Motueka to fully enjoy the Abel Tasman National Park and the surrounding area. Dedicate one day to a kayak or boat trip in the park, another to exploring the Moutere Valley's wineries, and a half-day to relax on Kaiteriteri Beach. If you're short on time, a day trip from Nelson (about 45 minutes away) is feasible, but you'll miss the town's relaxed evening atmosphere.
